The Chamber of Commerce of Brčko District of BiH is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit, professional and business organization of legal and private persons from the territory of Brčko District of BiH.

The Chamber of Commerce of Brčko District of BiH strives to actively participate in creating a positive business environment in Brčko District of BiH through improved work, built reputation, improved business of its members, and built relations with the Government of Brčko District of BiH and other relevant institutions and organizations that are actively in creation of positive business environment in Brčko District of BiH.

MISSION

The mission of the Chamber of Commerce of Brčko District of BiH as a professional and business organization of business entities is to strengthen its relations with the Government of Brčko District of BiH and other relevant institutions to support its members and enable them easier, more efficient and profitable activities.

WHAT DOES THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE DO?

The Chamber of Commerce of the Brčko District of BiH performs the activities as described below:

Within its competences The Chamber of Commerce performs the following activities:

represents the interests of its members,
promotes fair competition, good business practices and business ethics,
concludes a Collective contract with the Government of Brčko District of BiH and the Trade Union in accordance with the Labor Law and other applicable regulations,
cooperates and gives advice to public institutions and authorities of Brčko District in the field of economic legislation and economic policy,
cooperates with other chambers of commerce’s in BiH and abroad in order to improve economic and other scopes of life,
leads and promotes educational programs and trainings,
promotes a unique economic environment in BiH,
creates favorable conditions for foreign investments,
collects and processes data, performs market analyzes and analyzes in the field of economics,
informs the public about data related to economic trends in Brčko District of BiH,
provides services to companies, other legal entities, entrepreneurs and institutions,
organizes fairs and other activities in order to promote goods and services to the members of the Chamber of Commerce,
promotes the improvement of technical and other standards,
promotes the market economy business and use of modern technology,
promotes the establishment of economic and legal security for the operations of local and foreign economic entities in Brčko District of BiH,
performs, in the manner prescribed by law, public authorizations and public-administrative functions entrusted to it by the Government of Brčko District of BiH,
in its work achieves constant cooperation with the Government of Brčko District of BiH, the Trade Union and other non-governmental organizations on issues related to the field of economic life and other issues of mutual interest,
performs other activities in accordance with the Law and the Statute.

HOW MANY COMPANIES HAVE BECOME MEMBER OF THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE?

Since its founding in 2000, 600 companies from all scopes of the economy, including almost all leading companies, have joined the Chamber on the basis of freely expressed will, and they employ over 50% of the total number of employees in the economy of Brčko District. Thus, the Chamber of Commerce has become a legitimate partner to the competent bodies of executive power and administration in the creation of business and overall social development, and thus more successful business entities. Of course, our goal is for as many companies as possible to become a member of Chamber of Commerce, because that is how we become stronger and more respectable partner to state bodies in representing the interests of its members.

MEMBERSHIP FEES

The membership fee does not represent a financial burden, but an investment in the development of the company and the environment.

Members of the Chamber of Commerce have the right to take initiatives to represent their interests before state bodies, to use professional and other assistance of the Chamber of Commerce in organized presentations at the fairs, participation in educational programs, round tables, presentations, establishing contacts with partners in the country and abroad. In addition, a member of the Chamber of Commerce has a number of benefits when using other, specific services comparing to the companies that are not members of the Chamber of Commerce.

Members of the Chamber of Commerce can be: all companies, banks, branches, other legal entities and entrepreneurs engaged in economic activity, that are registered in accordance with the law, and have their registered office or perform business on the territory of Brčko District.

Scientific research and educational institutions, registered associations and foundations and other organizations engaged in economic activities of Brčko District may also be members of the Chamber of Commerce.

The amount of the membership fee is determined by the decision of the Steering Board of the Chamber of Commerce.

Members of the Chamber of Commerce are equal and have the same rights and duties.

The members of the Chamber of Commerce manage the work of the Chamber through their representatives.

The Chamber of Commerce keeps a unique register of its members.

The Register of Members of the Chamber of Commerce is a public book and based on it, an appropriate certificates and attestations can be issued and certify, as well as public documents.

Instructions for keeping the register are issued by the Steering Board.

The membership fee is calculated annually based on the Decision of the Steering Board.
